Frank Obremski, Class of 1967, died last week as a result of an injury incurred while responding as an MTA employee and volunteer fireman to a train accident. Frank was a loyal member of our Friar Shield Network. May he rest in peace. (Article posted below.)

The Saint Anthony's Track Team recently traveled to Trinidad to participate in the Trinidad and Tobago Relay Carnival. The Friars did incredibly well in their first international meet. Every Friar left with a medal! Brother Antonio, Coach Olivier St. Aude and Coach and Friar Alumni Kenny Bohan were very proud of their runners!

Suffolk County Police Department Homicide Chief and Friar Alumni John "Jack" Fitzpatrick announced he is retiring from the Suffolk County Police Department after nearly 40 years of service. Congratulations, Jack!

Saint Anthony's students organized a Saint Patrick's Day Dinner for a local soup kitchen as part of their participation in Power to Learn's 2013-2014 Charity Champions program. The students have been raising money and awareness for St. Hugh of Lincoln and were presented with $1,000 from Cablevision to be donated to their cause, as well as $500 in seed money to help with their fundraising costs.

On March 17th, 2014 The Friar Celtic Pipe Band proudly marched up Fifth Avenue in the NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade. We were joined by many Alumni and supporters. It was a great day for the Friars!
